Since the early twentieth century the big coffee companies have always kept the final consumer totally uniformed. It happens by suppling the cheapest and poorest varieties of coffee without accounting the consumers
Therefore, by playing on a darker roast, they are able to hide the defects of the coffee, even enhancing the body (creaminess).. A more roasted coffee tends to be more bitter and creamy due to the greater amount of soluble fibres that can be eliminated. Only through knowledge we can develop a greater aptitude for drinking quality and pleasant coffee, besides healthier organoleptic characteristics.

The attention to the production process is what makes Epos Caffè a leading brand in the sector. Therefore, the roast and transformation process of the beans is carried out respecting the parameters that better enhance the aroma of each origin, both Arabica and Robusta used in our blends, to have always a quality coffee.
We select only the batches of coffee plantations that grow in a biodiversity that enriches the organoleptic characteristicsof the coffee. Therefore only the beans with biggest screen sizes and without defects are used in our blends.
It is a selection based on shape and size.
The roasting process transforms the green coffee beans, making them aromatic and crunchy. For this reason, each origin of Arabica and Robusta must be roasted separately, in order to enhance its aromas and intensity. L’obbiettivo è quello di far uscire le sostanze volatili più nobili presenti negli oli, per un caffè di qualità.
La scelta del caffè è come un armonia, perché la composizione di varie miscele determina varietà di gusto e intensità. Per creare la giusta alchimia occorrono tante prove. Ma alla fine otteniamo sempre un espresso dall’equilibrio perfetto tra corpo e aroma.
Il confezionamento è la fase finale ma non meno importante del processo di lavorazione del caffè. Dopo diversi giorni di degasaggio il caffè in grani è pronto per essere confezionato in sacchetti con valvola, cialde ese o capsule.
